Victorian Nights Out in North Norfolk
http://victoriannightsnorthnorfolk.com/
This fabulous family festival offers extra entertainments and free evening events. There will be a Victorian theme including the following activities:
Circus skills and activities such as fire-eating, stilt-walking, juggling and other traditional acts such as clowns and Punch and Judy.
The Poppy Line will run on the Friday evening taking you on a steam journey along the coast from Sheringham to Holt via Weybourne with Victoriam activities and traditional refreshments available.
Re-live Victorian beach activities with your family including fossil-hunting and shell-collecting, for the cabinet of curiosities. Or simply build a sandcastle or two or take in the ozone by immersing yourselves in the briny depths!
The Mo Museum in Sheringham will be presenting a stunning display of Victorian costumes and fashion – why was a lady’s maid so important?.
Free entry to many of the evening events including a ghostly tour around Sheringham and its past.
Exercise – promenade-strolling – displaying the latest Victorian fashions – from all strata of society, cliff walks, cycling.
All the fun of the pier with a fantastic array of family events we’ll never forget.
Have family fun at the Maltings in Wells, fuelled by Victorian-style food and drink.
The first time I had heard of The Victorian Nights Festival was when I attended a
Blogging Course at Holt Library. The thought and hard work that has gone into it will no doubt make it an occasion to remember. I am going to check my diary as I think not only would I enjoy the Victorian Fashion Show, my grandchildren would find the The Mo’s Tremendous Victorian Circus very exciting.
Wow! This sounds super – I’m packing my Granny up right now! And will bring the grandchildren too!
